Good Services of Nursing Home

A nursing home, convalescent home, Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU), or rest home provides a type of care of residents: it is a place of residence for people who require constant nursing care and have significant deficiencies with activities of daily living. Nursing home services provided in nursing homes include services of nurses, nursing aides and assistants; physical, occupational and speech therapists; social workers and recreational assistants; and room and board.

Finding a nursing home given the choice, most elders would prefer to continue to live in their own homes. Elderly care or simply eldercare is the fulfillment of the special needs and requirements that are unique to senior citizens. A distinction is generally made between medical and non-medical care, and the latter is much less likely to be covered by insurance or public funds.

Nursing is a healthcare profession focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life from birth to the end of life. Nurses care for individuals who are healthy and ill, of all ages and cultural backgrounds, and who have physical, emotional, psychological, intellectual, social, and spiritual needs. The profession combines physical science, social science, nursing theory, and technology in caring for those individuals.
